YOUR DATA, YOUR CHOICE
Request data deletion
For Bro Wallet Android users
You can delete the data Bro Wallet keeps about your installation or wallet from the app or from this page. You do not need an email address. A request is only reported as complete after the server has checked that nothing linked to it is left; if a step fails, the request stays visible and can be retried safely, and repeating a finished request changes nothing. It covers the records we control: installation identifiers, public wallet address associations and subscriptions, usage events, push registrations and swap orders. What we cannot delete is listed below.
Never enter your recovery phrase or private key
Nothing on this page and nothing in the app asks for either one, and deleting data does not touch your funds. Deleting from the app also erases the wallet from that phone, so make sure your recovery phrase is written down first if you may want this wallet again.
Delete in the app
- Open Bro Wallet, go to Your space and choose Delete my data.
- Read what will be removed, type DELETE and confirm with your phone's screen lock.
- Bro Wallet deletes the server-side records first and shows each step. Only after the server confirms does the app erase the wallet, recovery phrase, PIN, caches and settings from the phone.
- If something fails, the app says which half did not finish, keeps what is left and lets you retry. Retrying is safe.
Delete from this page
Use this if you would rather start on a computer, or if the app is gone or you changed phones.
What gets deleted
Approved in the app, the request removes everything we keep that is linked to that installation: the installation record and its secret, push registrations, usage events, swap orders, and the public wallet addresses the installation registered, together with the balances, history, subscriptions and notification jobs kept for them. A wallet that another installation also holds is unlinked from yours, and its address-level data stays for that other holder. We also ask our blockchain notification provider to drop the address from its watch list. The server then checks again that nothing linked is left before it reports the request as complete.
Signed with a wallet, the request removes what we store about that address and the wallet it belongs to, including the wallet's addresses on other networks (except any that another wallet or installation is also linked to): its wallet records, aliases, subscriptions, history, notification jobs, swap orders and watch-list entries. It also unlinks the wallet from every installation. Records that belong to an installation itself, such as usage events and push tokens, can only be deleted from that installation's app, because a public address alone cannot show who runs an installation. This page can verify Ethereum (and other EVM) and Solana addresses; for records held only under a Bitcoin, TON or TRON address, use the app.
What stays
- Public blockchain records. Transactions and balances written to a blockchain are public and permanent. Nobody can change or delete them, and they stay linked to the address.
- Providers' own records. Requests already sent to network, pricing, portfolio and swap providers (for example Alchemy, QuickNode, DeBank, CoinGecko, LI.FI, 0x, Jupiter, Relay, Symbiosis, STON.fi, Mempool.space, TON Center and TronGrid) follow those providers' own retention. We cannot delete them; ask the provider if you want them removed.
- Google. Firebase Analytics and Cloud Messaging data stays with Google under its terms; the app asks Google to reset analytics data for the installation.
- Other people's records. A transaction between you and another Bro Wallet user can still appear in that user's history.
- Backups and logs. Routine database backups and server logs are not edited record by record; they age out on the hosting providers' schedules.
- Using the app again. If you later use the app with the same address, new records are created for it. For 14 days after a deletion we keep a keyed one-way hash of each erased address, not the address itself, so that late blockchain notifications do not recreate its records.
What we keep about the request
To show that requests are honoured and to spot abuse, we keep a minimal record of each deletion: a random receipt number, whether it came from the app or the website, the times, the outcome and how many rows each step removed. It holds no installation ID, wallet address, secret, IP address or message text. It is kept for 365 days, only database operators can read it, and it is left out of wallet and analytics views. The status record that lets you check or retry a request stays for 30 days after the request completes and is then removed.
Log out of the app
Logging out removes your wallets from that phone. It also asks our server to unlink them from your installation and to drop your push registration. It does not delete the rest of what we hold (the installation record, usage events, the wallets' stored balances and history) and does not remove public blockchain records; use Delete my data for that. Keep your recovery phrase written down before logging out if you might need the wallet later.
